The indoor dining area is set in a cosy and intimate atmosphere within the restaurant, decorated with simple Spanish elements in the interior and is ideal for private gatherings or professional meetings.

The outdoor dining area is set on a deck, surrounded by lush greenery for the tranquil alfresco dining experience. With a bar at one end of the area, the outdoor dining section is perfect for wedding solemnization, private parties or professional networking events.

The Private Section overlooks the restaurant’s lush green foliage and is in a quiet area beyond the restaurant’s bar. This section is best for an intimate event or a small corporate function that require a VIP treatment.

Michelin Star Chef Carles Gaig

As part of Michelin starred Chef Carles Gaig’s vision to expand to Asia, La Ventana by Carles Gaig was opened in June 2015 and located in a tranquil spot surrounded by beautiful and lush greenery in Dempsey Hill, one of Singapore’s top lifestyle destinations.

The casual, tapas-centric restaurant in Singapore is managed by Chef Gaig’s daughter, Ms Nuria Gibert, and Chef Eduard Castellarnau, and features an extensive menu of the best classic Catalan dishes, some of which has been passed down for generations within the Gaig family.

Chef Gaig’s mission to resurrect traditional Catalan recipes has served to bring about a sense of nostalgia to Catalans from all over the world and make them feel at home, while at the same time giving international visitors an introduction to authentic and long-standing Catalan fare.


Carles Gaig is the 4th generation of chefs from the Horta district of Barcelona where his family owned the Taberna d’en Gaig since 1869. With his entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for bringing together tradition and innovation in creating high quality cuisine, Chef Gaig’s restaurant is distinguished today with a Michelin star since 1993.

Chef Gaig has received numerous accolades for his contribution to the national and international culinary scene, including the National Award for the “Best Chef of 1999” from the Real Academia de Gastronomia, “Best Restaurant of the Year” from the Academia Catalana de Gastronomia in 2004, and “Best Airport Restaurant Around the World” by The in 2010. He also received recognition for his contribution and dedication to the Catalan culinary scene, with the award from Los Premios Nadal de Gastronomia for the Preservation of Catalan Cultural Heritage in 2008.

Throughout his entire professional life, Chef Gaig has participated in many conferences and conventions as a speaker. Among these are the San Sebastian Gastronomika convention, the World Gourmet Summit Singapore 2007, Alimentaria Mexico DF and Alimentaria Barcelona. He has also taught courses in several hospitality schools and universities, such as the Culinary Institute of America in 2006 and Harvard in 2011.
