The three major towns in Cameron Highlands are Ringlet, Tanah Rata and Brinchang. Ringlet is the first town you will arrive to if you are coming in from the North-South Expressway. Known to be a sleepy town, it is home to the local residents and a great place to stay if you like to be more isolated from the crowd of the other towns. Bertam Valley is adjacent to this town and is known for its agriculture activities.
Tanah Rata is the main administrative town in Cameron Highlands. This is where the main transportation hub is located while you can find a lot of banks and post office too. Tanah Rata has a lot of cafes, shops and hotels and is where you can find a lot of tour operators offering ground arrangements.
Further up front is Brinchang town where the thick of the action is. You can find a lot of steamboat and seafood restaurants here, hotels and apartments as well as the very popular Pasar Malam. At Brinchang, you are very close to other nearby towns like Kea Farm which is known for its resorts, bee farms and other attractions.
Other towns around here include Tringkap, Kampung Raja, Kuala Terla and Blue Valley which are home to other interesting attractions as well.
